CHALLENGE SONOMA PROGRAMS

Whether it is for a group of 100 or one individual we at Challenge Sonoma Adventure Ropes Course are able to custom design a program to fit your group's unique needs and time schedule. Below are some typical programs from our menu that we offer to various groups.

School Group: Short Day (4 hours)
Group of Young Participants

A combination of challenges for small teams to solve by thinking "outside the box" and then putting into practice the plan that is formed by the group. Low ropes events which challenge individuals and teams physically, and require teams to coordinate effectively for the events to be completed safely. There is usually a completing event at the end of the day where all small teams come together for one large team challenge.

School Group: Full day (5-8 hours)
Participants Embracing

The morning is done much in the same way as the short day. After lunch we put all participants in harnesses and helmets and introduce them to the high ropes events where their team creates an environment where individuals can surpass their self-perceived limitations. The day usually ends with an all-team event.

Corporate Group: Short Day (4 hours)

We work with you before prior to your arrival at the course to find out what you want your team to experience. Some common areas are: increased trust, better communication, accountability, better teamwork, and getting to know each other better. From this initial conversation we select a number of events that provide ample opportunities for team members to experiment with, learn and discuss the subject that you have picked.

Corporate Group: Full Day (5-8 hours)

As with the Corporate Short Day we talk with you to determine your goals for the day. We then choose the events that will stimulate your team and propel them towards that goal. With the full day the high ropes events always provide inspiration by seeing how far your co-workers can go with the team's support and give you real changes that you can take back to the workplace.

CEO Personal Day: (4 - 8 hours)

For the CEO in all of us- This is an opportunity to spend a day by yourself in the redwoods with a trained facilitator/technician who's purpose is to provide a safe place for you to awaken in yourself the ability to reach way beyond your usual grasp. This day may include reflection time and journaling to anchor new actions and commitments that come from the day.

Family Group and Community Group Day: (4 - 8 hours)

We let you determine what you want to do on the ropes course and provide facilitators to maintain safety and regulate the flow through the events. We pick the events that provide you the most diversity given your group's size and time spent on the course.

Open Day: (6 - 7 hours)

We occasionally offer an Open Day for individuals and couples who want to experience a ropes course but who aren't part of a larger group scheduled to participate. On an open day we provide a sampling of initiatives, low and high events.

Youth and Young Adult Leadership Long Course: (2 - 6 months)

We work with groups on an ongoing basis at our course to help set recurrent practices and development in individuals and teams. With each subsequent meeting we can take a deeper cut at what needs to shift to allow us as individuals and teams to perform at our best.

Ropes Course Leader Training (4 months)

Once each year we create a number of openings for people interested in learning how to lead ropes courses. The curriculum includes technical aspects such as gear training, belaying, rescue techniques, facilitation and event management. At the end of the course you have the opportunity to be tested to be a leader at the Challenge Sonoma Adventure Ropes Course.
